NELSON DAVID GELB

Nelson David Gelb, age 77, of Medina, passed away on February 25, 2018, when he peacefully joined his wife Joanne, who passed away February 4, 2018. Nelson was born May 29, 1940 in Cleveland, OH, to the late Hubert and Dorothy (nee Tomecko). Nelson and Joanne shared 57 years of marriage.

Nelson enjoyed attending his children’s and grandchildren’s sports and school events, going to auctions, collecting antiques, making his own wine, and home improvements. He was employed as a sheet metal worker for Franck & Fric for 25 years and was a member of Sheet Metal Workers Local Union #33. After his retirement, Nelson worked with Harold Farnsworth Auctioneers for 10 years.

He will be dearly missed by son, Danny; daughters, Patty Bilinovich and Shari Walter; grandchildren; Sarah, Brian (Katie), Hannah, Seth, Riley and Carly; brother, Dana (Valarie) Gelb and sister Donna (Larry) Snider. He will also be missed by his four legged girls, Maggie and Gabby.

Friends may join the family for Visitation on Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 3 to 5 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road, (corner of River Styx and Rt. 18), Medina, OH 44256. Funeral Service to follow at 5 PM. Inurnment for Nelson and Joanne will take place at a later date at Granger Fairview Cemetery.
