Nicholas David Stock was born February 24, 1996 and left us far too soon on October 30, 2012 at the age of 16 in a very tragic car accident that took his life.
His oldest sister writes his obituary. The pain that comes from losing a baby brother and a son just can't be expressed in words. Nick was loved by so many and was truly one of the good ones. His death is not fair and he was too young to leave us so soon. Nick's life would seem too short to many, but for those who were touched by him, understood that the quality of existence far exceeds quantity of time in which you live it.
Nick was the kind of kid that always had a beaming smile and sparkling eyes. He could make light of any situation and was constantly making people laugh. He loved fixing things including computers, motorcycles, cars, gaming systems, and even the occasional toaster. Nick could fix anything and many came to him with problems. He was always happy to help anyone in need and never turned anyone away despite the amount of time he poured into his projects. He was a dog lover and animal lover in general. For a 16-year-old boy he was a great source of well thought out advice to anyone who asked. He truly was beyond his years. He LOVED to snowboard and even had the gumption to wire up a pretty sweet lighting system for his Burton board so that when he went night boarding people could see how awesome he was. He had a black Oldsmobile Cutlass and a Honda rat bike that were his pride and joy. He said one time to my father that the bike made him feel so light, free, and happy. He had dreams of going to a very well known technical school in Florida. He wasn't sure exactly what he wanted to do, be it designing games, computer programs, or maybe even settling down with just a simple computer repair shop in town. Whatever he would have done, I know he would have made a big impact on the world. Apparently the world just was not ready for your awesomeness yet Nick. Nick, We all love you so much and we will meet again someday.
Nick is survived by his parents, Ken Stock of Garrettsville and Patty Pobega of Norfolk, VA; siblings: Ken Jr, Crystal, Dawn, Christopher and Kevin all of Garrettsville. He is also survived by his grandmother, Linda Stock of Las Vegas, NV; nephew, Dante, and niece Baylee Rae.
