Nina J. Juneman, 89, of Medina, OH and formerly of Lincoln Park, MI and Deerfield Beach, FL, passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. She was born on December 27, 1930 in LaFollette, TN to the late Charles “Charlie” and Edith K. (nee Stephens) Goins.
Nina and her first husband moved to Michigan in the early 50’s to escape the ‘hills of Tennessee’. Eventually, she and her sons made Lincoln Park their permanent home when she married Jim Juneman in the mid 1960’s. Not long after Jim’s death in 1991, she made Deerfield Beach, FL her home until she moved to Medina OH to be near family.
Nina was a hard-working lady. Over her years, she served as a dental and medical assistant, Industrial First Aid Manager, Personnel Assistant then Manager, and a corporate Employment Recruiter. Less stressful but very demanding she was a Community Care Counselor, an upstart-Restaurant hostess, a Travel Company Envoy, and was the front desk smile at the Chamber of Commerce in Deerfield Beach, FL.
Nina is survived by her loving children, Ronald L. (Catherine) Carmany of Versailles, KY, formerly of Medina, OH and Marvin D. Carmany of Brownstown, MI; grandchildren, Brian C. (Laura) Carmany of Lexington, KY, Andrew S. (Cindy) Carmany of Richmond, VA, and Kelli L. Carmany of Garden City, MI; great grandchildren, Nash, Collins, Gianni, Brooke, Leo, and Oliver. Nina is also survived by her guardian angel in Florida, Philip Girrbach; and her long-time confidant and travel buddy, Carol Spradlin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, James Edgar Juneman; her brother, James Stanley Goins; and her daughter-in-law, Carrie (nee Pelino) Carmany.
Nina will be laid to rest with her husband, James in a private graveside service at Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery, Flat Rock, MI.
