Norman Joseph DeMarchek, “Norm the Barber” age 81, of Brunswick, Ohio, passed away on December 4, 2013. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who loved his family dearly.
Norman will be dearly missed by his beloved wife of over 61 years MaryAnn (nee Piatak); his children, Laurene Rutkowski (David) and Beverly Briane (Steve); grandchildren, Jason, Amber, Brad and April; great-grandchildren, Camryn, Ireland Grace, Coral and Cecelia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman H. and Ida (nee LeDonne); father-in-law, Michael Piatak and mother-in-law, Anna Piatak.
Norman was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran. Norman was a barber for over 65 years.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Monday, December 9, 2013 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road, (1/2 mile south of route 303) Brunswick, OH 44212. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at 11:00 AM, at St. Ambrose Catholic Parish, 929 Pearl Road, Brunswick, Ohio 44212, with visitation one hour prior 10:00 AM (PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH). Father Bob Wenz will be officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
