Okey Crites, 72 of Brunswick, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2010 surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 25, 1938 in Fairmont, West Virginia to Leslie and Ella (nee Crites) Crites.
He was an Army Veteran and a Machine Operator for General Motors Company. He was a member of The U.A.W. Local 1050 in Brook Park, Ohio and a former REACT volunteer.
He is survived by his brothers David (Lena) Crites, Bob (Frances) Crites, sister Betty Wenzel and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents Leslie and Ella (nee Crites) Crites, brother Delmos (Rose) Crites and brother-in-law David Wenzel.
Friends may join the family for visitation on, Thursday, July 22, 2010 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road (1/2 mile South of Route 303), Brunswick and Friday, July 23, 2010 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 PM. at Carpenter & Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant Street, Fairmont, West Virginia. Funeral service will be at Carpenter & Ford Funeral Home. Burial will be held Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. in Fairmont, West Virginia. Interment to follow in Montana Mines Cemetery in Fairmont, West Virginia.
