Olga Dobbins (nee Pidzyraylo), of Valley City, passed away March 13, 2016. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio.
Olga is survived by her cousins, Stephanie Swedyrk, Jan Pukach; dearest work associates and friends, Cathy “Cookie” Fortesque and Linda Cook; longtime close friend, Diane Mondock; along with many other good friends and community neighbors. She loved animals and had several loving canine companions over the years.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William “Bill”; her parents, Stanley and Sophie (nee Woloszyn) Pidzyraylo; sister, Ann Morgan; and cousins, Walter “Wally” Pukach and John Kost.
Olga, along with her parents and Bill, opened and operated Buckeye Lounge and Bill’s Beverage in Brunswick in 1962. Her businesses are the longest family owned lounge and beverage stores in Brunswick. Olga and Bill knew countless people in the community and have held an annual gathering for many years for Brunswick High School Alumni at the Buckeye Lounge.
Friends may join the family for visitation Sunday, March 20, 2016 from 1 to 6 pm at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road, (1/2 mile south of Route 303) Brunswick, OH 44212. Parastas Services to be held at 2:30 pm during visitation. Funeral Service will be Monday, March 21, 2016 at 10:00 am at St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral, 5913 State Rd, Parma, OH 44134. (PLEASE MEET AT THE CATHEDRAL) Interment will follow at Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Valley City.
