OUIDA LYNN

Ouida M. Lynn, 90, of Champion, passed away at her residence on Monday, May 12, 2014. She was born August 15, 1923 in Silica Sand, Ohio to Kenneth and Lueva (Groat) Leggett.

Ouida was a cook at Johnson Rubber. She was a member of Garrettsville United Methodist Church, Champion Christian Church, the Singing Grannies, the Nelson Literary Musical Club and the Squarenaders. She especially enjoyed spending time with her beloved family and friends.

Ouida is survived by her children, Katherine (Bernard “Mike”) Nilsen of Oregon, Keith (Jackie) Lynn of Warren, Kay Lynn of Champion; daughter-in-law, Candi Lynn of Ravenna; brother, Darwin “Doc”(Mary Ann) Leggett of Garrettsville, grandchildren, Bill, Chris, Nathan, Daniel, Vernon, Jeff, Steven, Sabrina, and Cody and great-grandchildren, Brianna, Blake, Isaac, Raymond, Brinda, James, and Christopher.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward in 1990; and her son, Kenneth.

Calling hours are 10 AM to 12 noon on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231. Funeral services will begin at noon at the funeral home with Rev. Kris Patt and Pastor Ken Hopkins Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Harrington Cemetery in Nelson Township.
