Pamela A. Chokan, 77, of Westfield Center, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at the Hospice of Medina, in the loving arms of her husband and family. She was born July 13, 1945, in Cleveland, daughter of the late Pearl A. Mordell.
She grew up in a loving home with her mother and grandparents. After graduating from West Tech High School in Cleveland, Pam began working for the draft board. One spring day, she met the love of her life, Jon J. Chokan, as she signed his draft card for his induction into the U.S. Army. By August they were married and living in Cleveland. Pam was an exceptional seamstress who made countless ensembles for herself, her daughters (including 2 beautiful wedding dresses), and grandchildren. She was an accomplished baker who always showed her love through her amazing culinary creations. Pam looked forward lovingly to all the times when the entire family was together - whether it be for a birthday, holiday, or family vacation. Her favorite hobby was doting on all her grandchildren and the pride she felt for them was endless. Over the course of their incredible marriage, Jon and Pam had the privilege to visit countless countries over 6 continents. Through all the accomplishments and challenges that they faced together, she was truly the strength and backbone of the business that they built from the ground up. Pam loved our family unconditionally and was a true blessing to have in our lives. She will be profoundly missed.
Pam will be deeply missed by her husband, Jon J. Chokan, with whom she was blessed to share 54 years of marriage; beloved children, Tamara (Joseph) Michalec, Aaron (Michelle) Chokan, and Denise (Jeffrey) Smith; loving grandchildren, Maxwell, Abigail, Guinevere, and Zachary Michalec, Reece, Hunter, Finlay, Calais, and Lucia Chokan, Logan, Micah, Geneviève, Lillienne, Adeliene, and Wyatt Smith.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, and her mother, Pearl.
