PATRICIA JEAN SZAKACS

Patricia "Pat" J Szakacs (Burke), 67, of Valley City, while surrounded by family, friends and of course her dogs left to be with the lord on Saturday, July 2, 2022. She was born on January 5, 1955, to the late Joseph and Kathryn (Steuart) Burke in Cleveland.

Working side by side with husband, Mark, at their family owned business Marks Construction for 40 years. Pat frequently traveled to places such as Key-west Florida, various places in the Caribbean, the Lake Erie Islands and their second home in Hudson Florida where she knew exactly who had the best key lime pie in town. Pat enjoyed gardening and spending time with many friends enjoying a good Bloody Mary or Vodka Ginger Ale around a bonfire with her favorite pizza, along with trying her luck at the casino, playing scratch off lotto tickets, or the infamous pull tabs. She had a great sense of fashion and always looked her best while out and around town and was known to have a huge sense of humor. Annually, Pat and husband Mark would finish amongst the top at the annual Halloween Costume Contest.

The most treasured of all to Pat was her time spent with the love of her life, children, grandchildren, and her beloved dogs, Marley and Moe, who will all deeply miss Patricia, yet will continue to celebrate her daily .

Patricia will loving be remembered by her husband, Mark Szakacs Sr; daughters, Ashley Szakacs, Amy (Brian) Conde; son, Mark Szakacs Jr; grandchildren, Avery Conde, Mason Conde, and Joseph Conde; sister, Barbara Burke; and her many beloved dogs.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Burke; and sister, Karen Giancaterino (nee Burke).

A Celebration of life, picnic and camp out will be held on Saturday July 30, 2022, beginning at 2:00 pm at the Greens of Guilford Campground, 8385 Ryan Rd, Medina, Ohio.
