PATRICK RAYMOND BEYER

Patrick R. Beyer, age 70, of Brunswick, passed away on June 11, 2019. He was born April 4, 1949 in Cleveland, Ohio to Raymond M. and Rita (nee Kinklaar) Beyer. Patrick was married 47 years to the love of his life, Rosemarie (nee Skrletts) Beyer.

Patrick was a lifelong resident of Brunswick, a 1967 Graduate of Brunswick High School, a Veteran of the United States Army and served in Vietnam. He attended Tri-C, earned a Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree at Baldwin Wallace and a Master’s at Cleveland State.

Patrick joined the Brunswick Police Department in January 1974 and retired in August 2003 as Chief of Police. He was the Brunswick Safety Director from 2003-2005. He was also a member of the Brunswick Rotary, a lifetime V.F.W. 9520 member, and very proud of and highly active in the Brunswick community of which he was an honored and loved member.

Patrick will be dearly missed by his wife; children, Shane (Lisa) Beyer and Amy (Rick) Harris; grandchildren, Braden, Brianna, Brycen, Brennan, Kyle, Joshua and Rachel; brother, Michael (Valeria) Beyer; sisters-in-law, Diane and Barb Skrletts, Sue Sutter, and Ruth (Bruce-deceased) Skrletts; and brother-in-law, John (Debbie) Skrletts.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and in-laws, Steve and Ruth Skrletts.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 14, 2019, from 3-7 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road (1/2 mile south of Route 303), Brunswick. Services will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2019, at 11 AM at the Funeral Home, Rev. Amy Shipley officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memory Gardens, Brunswick.
