PATRICK J. KELLY

Patrick J. Kelly, age 67, was called to Heaven on Friday, May 31, 2024. He was born on March 9, 1957, to the late Patrick and Arlene (nee Pekarek) Kelly.

In addition to his parents, Patrick is reunited with his brother Tim Kelly.

He leaves behind his best friend and beloved wife, Linda; children, Erin Evert, Patrick Kelly and Sean Kelly; grandchildren, Adin, Dylan, Logan, Daniel and Patrick; sisters, Maureen Kelly and Colleen (Jim) Krowka; sister-in-law, Kathy Kelly; Many nieces and nephews; and great friends.

If you didn't hear his laughter, you probably weren't listening, because Patrick was the happiest, go-lucky Irishman who could light up any room with his jokes and unfiltered commentary. Born to bring joy to everyone he met, Patrick's presence was larger than life.

A huge sports fan, Patrick's devotion to the Cleveland Indians, Browns, Cavs, and the Ohio State Buckeyes was unparalleled. He cheered so loudly, the neighbors knew when his teams were winning or losing.

His biggest passion, however, was watching his grandsons play sports. With enough grandsons to field a full basketball team, Patrick was their loudest and proudest fan, offering "coaching advice" from the sidelines, whether it was needed or not!

St. Patrick's Day was Patrick's personal holiday. Decked out in every shade of green imaginable, he made sure everyone celebrated with the same enthusiasm.

Patrick was not only a master of humor but also a master craftsman. His cabinet making was legendary, and his ability to fix just about anything earned him the title of "Jack of all trades." If something was broken, Patrick was your man – though you might have to endure a few jokes first!

The cornerstone of Patrick's joy was his wife and best friend, Linda. Their love story was full of laughter and playful banter. Together, they created a home filled with love, laughter, and the occasional "discussion".

Patrick's life was always filled with the playful barks of his beloved Labradors, Knight, Mick, and Dalton.

Patrick leaves behind a family who will forever miss his jokes, his laughter, and his grilled burgers. His spirit of joy, craftsmanship, and unending love will live on in the hearts of his dear wife Linda, his children, and his grandsons. 

Though he's no longer with us, the echo of his laughter will continue to bring smiles to all who knew him. Patrick may have moved on to the great Irish pub in the sky, but his legacy of love and humor will never be forgotten.

Please join the family for visitation Thursday, June 6, 2024, from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road, (1/2 mile south of Route 303) Brunswick, OH 44212. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, June 7, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 929 Pearl Rd, Brunswick, OH 44212. (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery where Patrick will be laid to rest.
