Peter Hushla, 65 of Strongsville passed away on Friday, May 20, 2011 at Southwest Hospital. Peter was born on July 18, 1945 to Joseph and Maria (nee Hotz) Hushla in Hannover, Germany.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3505 and was a US Army Veteran. He was passionate about music and the outdoors. Peter worked as a welder and retired from Avtron.
He is survived by his son Chris (Sue) of South Euclid; sister Lesia (Dave) Antestenis of Mesa, AZ; grandchildren Anthony Joseph Mirenda and Theresa Renee Colbert; nephews David (Gina) Antestenis and Nik (Dawn) Antestenis.
Peter was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Shelly.
Friends may join the family for memorial visitation on Friday, May 27, 2011 from 11:00-1:00 with memorial services at 1:00 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road (corner of Route 18 and River Styx Road), Medina. Memorial contributions may be made in Peter’s name to Diabetes Association of Greater Cleveland 3601 S. Green Rd, Suite 100 Cleveland Ohio 44122.
