Phyllis Joy Baker, 89, of Ravenna, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on December 18, 2017. She was born on June 7, 1928 in Barnabus, West Virginia to Frank and Nancy (Robinson) Browning. Phyllis married the love of her life, Carl Baker, on April 7,1947.
She was a member of the Windham Church of Christ and an Auxiliary Member of the American Legion Post #674 in Windham for over 50 years. Phyllis enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved to dance and listen to Elvis.
Phyllis is survived by her children, Shelia (James) Pace of Windham, Curtis (Lori) Baker of Windham, Nancy Baker of Florida and Jeff Baker of Edinburgh; 11 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl and siblings.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2017 from 2-4 PM at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, Ohio 44231. Service to follow at 4 PM at the funeral home with Dr. Michael E. Carlson officiating. Burial to be held on Friday, December 29, 2017 at New Bern National Cemetery in New Bern, North Carolina.
