PHYLLIS E. DARLINGTON

Phyllis E. Darlington, 84, of Windham, Ohio passed away on August 11, 2018 at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Port Clinton, Ohio on December 29,1933 to Don and Mary Bond. She married Bobby Jean Darlington on July 9, 1958 who preceded her in death.

She was a dedicated RN for 43 years, who loved geriatric nursing. Phyllis enjoyed singing in Hiram Women’s Choir and the Singing Grannies. She was lifetime member of the United Methodist Church, where she participated in several mission trips to Haiti and Puerto Rico. She loved spending time with her beloved family and friends.

Phyllis is survived by her daughters, Stacy Finn (Alan) of Southington Ohio, Susan McClellan (Bill) of Champion Ohio, Marian ODonnell (Leonard) of Windham Ohio; her sons, Don and Dowell Darlington both of Windham, Ohio. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Donna Graham and Grace Higgins of Texas. She was survived by 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 16, 2018 from 5-8 PM at the United Methodist Church 9051 North Main St., Windham, Ohio. Funeral service will be held at the church on Friday, August 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Sandy Greenberg and Pastor Anthony Wiggins officiating. Burial will follow at Windham Township Cemetery.
