Phyllis Hopperton, 84 of Brunswick passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 in Medina. She was born August 27, 1926 in Cleveland to Phillip and Anna (nee Berry) Bender and worked in the office at Union Paper & Twine for 16 years.
She enjoyed being home with her family and the road trips, especially to Amish Country.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter Jennifer (Scott) Szakacs; sisters Anna Zoul, Carol (Donald) Kocka, and Joan Pishura; and grandchildren Conner and Greyson Szakacs.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Hopperton, her parents, and sisters Bernadette Marlow and Rosemary Gleason.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Sunday, November 28, 2010 from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M. at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road (1/2 mile South of Route 303), Brunswick. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 29, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at Church of St. Colette, 330 W. 130th Street, Brunswick. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Cleveland.
