Ralph Franklin Lewis, 75, of Nelson, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at the Woodlands at Robinson in Ravenna. He was born June 6, 1934 in Leavittsburg, Ohio to the late Ralph Herbert and Myrtle (Brockway) Lewis.
Ralph was a steelworker at Republic Steel. He served in the U.S. Army Infantry during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed talking on his CB radio and was an avid Star Trek fan. He cherished spending time with his beloved family and friends.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Mary Lee (Hickman) Lewis, whom he married August 11, 1956; sons, Ralph and Jerry of Nelson, Joseph of Ravenna, Brian (Michele) of Windham and Adam of Garrettsville; daughters, Mary Beth (Robert) Booth of Nelson, Christine (Larry) Brown of Garrettsville and Regina Placek of Garrettsville; brothers, Hugh of Massillon and Robert (Eunice) of California; sister, Katie; 28 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Calling hours are Thursday, January 28, 2010 from 10 AM to 12 Noon at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, Oh 44231. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at Noon at the funeral home with Rev. Fred Youngen officiating. Burial will follow at Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery, Rittman, Oh. with full military honors.
