RALPH I. MOATS

Ralph Irwin Moats, 87, of Hiram, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2017. He was born on February 18, 1930 in Warren, Ohio to Luther and Mary Louise (Stiegell) Moats. Ralph married the love of his life, Helen, on October 16, 1953.

He retired from Chrysler Stamping Plant in Twinsburg, Ohio after 30 + years of employment. Ralph was a member UAW Local #122. He enjoyed buying experimental airplanes and having them put together. Ralph loved traveling around visiting with family and friends. One of his favorite things to do was going every year to Oskosh, Wisconsin for the airshow.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Helen; son, Michael of Hiram; grandchildren, Brenna, Jessica, Becky, Brooke and Bryce; sister, Mary and daughter in law, Karleen.

He was preceded in death by his sons, Ralph Jr. “Sonny” and Charles “Chuck” Moats and brother, Gene Moats.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 from 5-7 PM at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, Ohio 44231. Services to be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, 3PM at Park Lawn Cemetery, 10 Gibson St, Jamestown, Pa 16134 with Dr. Michael E. Carlson officiating. Burial to follow in Park Lawn Cemetery.
