Ralph Turner, loving husband, beloved father, grandfather, and faithful friend was reunited with his loved ones in heaven on January 9th, 2024.
Ralph was a social butterfly and was known for his warm smile, quick wit, and jovial personality. He took pleasure in talking with people and joking around, making everyone feel welcome and at ease. He liked playing and watching sports and spent many hours supporting his grandchildren at their various sporting events. He enjoyed eating out and traveling with his sister-in-law’s and brother-in-law’s and his vacations in Florida with family and friends. Ralph appreciated all types of music and was always ready to sing a song or break out in a dance, unapologetically. He often had a twinkle in his eye and something up his sleeve. He worked for Cleveland Twist Drill for over four decades and served as union president for many years. He was affectionately called “Sonny” by his extended family and “Pap” by his grandchildren. He was also adored by his many grand dogs. Ralph opened his home and heart to many and was described by all as a kind and good man. He will be dearly missed.
Ralph is preceded in death by his high school sweetheart and devoted wife of 63 years, Connie. He is survived by his loving children, Jean Marks (Bill), Douglas Turner, Russell Turner, Colleen Smith (Robert), Ralph Turner, Jr., and Janelle Kubisch (Gary); cherished grandfather to 24 grandchildren and soon to be 20 great- grandchildren, in-laws Carolyn and Rich Dankovich and Randy and Beth Murray, wonderful cousins.
The family requests that donations in Ralph’s name be made to St. Jude’s Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or online at www.stjude.org.
