Raymond Joseph Michalski 80, of Medina passed away peacefully on January 6, 2018 with his entire family by his side following a brief illness.
Raymond was born in Cleveland, Ohio on December 13, 1937 to Ray and Mary (Gorski) Michalski. He attended high school at John Adams High School and graduated in 1962. After high school Raymond was proud of his time served in the U.S. Air Force where he enjoyed being on police patrol with his beloved German Shepard companion, Rolf. Ray took great pride in being a generous family provider. Ray enjoyed an early start to retirement, so he could go fishing with his grandchildren, traveling with his wife, especially to Las Vegas, lovingly tending to his yard and garden (Ray always had the best kept yard in the neighborhood) and most importantly spending time with his family. Ray was a very generous husband, father, son-in-law and father-in-law and all-around family man. He would send you things you needed before you knew you even needed them.
Ray is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Mary Michalski; brother Joe Michalski.
Ray is survived by his loving wife of 50 wonderful years, Mary Ann (Ginter) Michalski of Medina; daughter Michelle (Dan Miles) Michalski of Clifton, Virginia; daughter Susan (Scott) Snyderburn of Medina, Ohio; son Ray (Maggie) Michalski of Lewis Center, Ohio; daughter Sandy (Gerald) Tomaszycki of Elyria, Ohio. 8 beautiful grandchildren Michael, Aaron, Jacob and Derek Snyderburn, Nicole and Katlynn Tomaszycki, and Alexis and RJ Michalski; two sweet great-granddaughters Madison and Sophia; sister Mary Ann (Michalski) Smith and mother-in-law Anna Marie (Bukszar) Ginter.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Cleveland Clinic MICU for the support and extraordinary care in his final days.
