RAYMOND STAHL

Raymond G. Stahl, 83, of Chatham Township, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023.

Ray was born on January 12, 1940 to Carl and Vera Mae Stahl in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After leaving Hampton High School, he enlisted in the Marine Corps and was stationed in Washington DC. Ray married Lois "Renie" Michael and they had one son, Ron. After being honorably discharged from the Marines, Ray worked as a service manager for Volkswagen as well as a charter pilot and flight instructor. Ray attended Lewis University in Illinois and earned a dual Bachelor of Science in Aircraft Maintenance and Accounting. Ray finished his career as a Supervisory Auditor for National Credit Union Administration before retiring in 2001 to spend more time with his many hobbies and his granddaughters. Ray loved spending time outdoors. He could be found fishing, horseback riding, woodworking, flying planes, roller skating, or on his tractor. He enjoyed spending time with family and watching his granddaughter's sporting activities and orchestra concerts. He loved playing with his granddogs, and saving us from all the "bad cookies".

He is survived by his loving wife Renie, son Ron (Darla) Stahl , granddaughters Catherine and Kaelin, son Ray (Nancy) Stahl, grandsons Nathan and Nick, siblings Arthur (Patricia), Evelyn Stahl.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Vera Stahl, siblings Carl Stahl, Rosetta Stahl, Edwin Stahl, and Walter Stahl.

Calling Hours will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023 from 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services 3477 Medina Road (Corner of Route 18 & River Styx), Medina, Ohio 44256. A funeral service will be held at 12:30 PM, followed by a military salute at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery 10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, Ohio 44254.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to UH Seidman Cancer Center or the ASPCA. Care for Ray was entrusted to Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Medina, Ohio.
