RICHARD G. "DICK" CARTWRIGHT

Richard G. "Dick" Cartwright, 90, of Ravenna, Oh. went home to his Lord and Savior on Monday, April 8,2024. He was born March 18, 1934 to Charles Byron and Alice Mae Cartwright (nee Marquardt) in Willoughby, Ohio. 

On May 6, 1966, Dick married Sarah Jane Miller and the two enjoyed nearly 47 years together before her passing in 2013. He loved both Florida and Ohio, having enjoyed many wonderful memories in both states. A tool and die maker by trade, Dick loved the game of baseball and in his older years, senior softball. He enjoyed traveling with Sarah to many states to play softball. He also loved playing cards with family and friends.  

Dick will be deeply missed by his family. Children: Michael (Helen) Cartwright, Daniel (Julie) Brawn, Debbie (Dave) Gonzales and Maureen O'Connor. Grandchildren: Daniel (Kelly) Cartwright, Jeremiah (Ashley) Cartwright, Veronica (Christopher) Grossman, Rachel (Joe) Foreman, Hannah Gardner, Abigail (Daniel) Dunn, Luke (Theresa) Cartwright, Bethany (Ethan) Miller, Suzannah (John-Michael) Smith. 41 great grandchildren. His special friend, Carol Bias. Also, his nieces and nephews. Dick was proceeded in death by his sister Grace Irene and brother in law Jack Louis.

Per Dick's wishes, he is being cremated. Services for Dick are private and were entrusted to Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 8382 Center St. Garrettsville, Ohio 44231.
