Richard Kana, 87, of Brunswick passed away on April 10, 2020 at Park Creek Center, Parma Heights. He was born on May 27, 1932, in Cleveland to the late Joseph and Mary (nee Onderko) Kana.
Richard served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was employed with the US Postal Service, Branch 40 with 30 years of service. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, camping, hiking, loved the outdoors and spending time with his family and friends.
Richard is survived by his daughters, Laura, Susan Dobbs; beloved grandchildren, Bradley, Brittany, Brooke, Morgan, and Claudia; great grandchildren, Devlin, Landen and Stella; cherished sisters, Marilyn Demsey, Patricia Richards and Donna Kana.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Laverne (nee Rife) Kana; brothers, Edward and Robert; sister, Rita Mason.
A private burial for Richard will take place on Thursday, April 16, 2020, at Eastlawn Memory Gardens, Brunswick. The family entrusted Carlson Funeral and Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road, Brunswick, to handle the arrangements.
