Richard Kemski, age 86, of Brunswick, passed away March 24, 2017. He was born December 15, 1930 in Cleveland to the late Walter and Josephine (nee Pilawski) Kemski.
He was a member of the St. Ambrose Catholic Church, church usher, and Bingo volunteer. He was a fellow with the Knights of Columbus and a founder of the St. Ambrose Knights of Columbus Council. Richard was an avid golfer and bowler. He loved gardening and playing cards with family and friends.
He will be dearly missed by his beloved wife, Gladys (nee Wardick); children, Ken (Alicia), Bryan (Catherine), Richard T. (Kelly), Michael, Judith (David) Blueter, Linda (Roy) Sturdivant, and Mary Bennett; brother, Carl (Marlene) Knoll, sister, Grace (Richard) Fromm; grandchildren, Allison, Kaelyn, Conner, Erin, Kristen, Jessica, Jordan, Richard, Ian, Austin, John (Mandy), Christopher, Melissa, Brooke, Amanda, Sarah; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Alden, Melody, Corbin, Thor; and he was a beloved uncle to many.
Richard was preceded in death by his son, Mark.
Friends may join the family for visitation Monday, April 3, 2017 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm at Carlson Funeral Home, 1642 Pearl Rd, Brunswick, OH 44212. Mass of Christian Burial to be held Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 929 Pearl Rd, Brunswick, OH 44212. There will be a visitation one hour prior to Mass at 9:00 am (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). A luncheon at St. Ambrose will take place after the 10 am Service. The funeral procession will be after the luncheon at St. Ambrose, and going to Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
