Richard Pierce, age 93, of Garrettsville, passed away on March 16, 2021. He was born in Kirtland, Ohio on November 3, 1927, to Addison and Minnie (nee Keil) Pierce.
He loved to help others, whether it be a child needing a place to stay for awhile or someone who just needed emotional support, he was the one who was always there. He believed that there was always room for one more. Richard worked as a carpenter and woodworking was his true passion. He was an avid Bowler, a fisherman and enjoyed his country music, Hank Williams being his favourite singer. He had such a great wit, always laughing. If you ever had a question, all you had to do was "Come ask The Professor".
Richard is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Pierce (nee Loveland); children, Sally Mae Brown and Terry (Diane) Pierce; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, John Pierce, and many friends, and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; children, Richard Jr., Steve, Randy, and Ronald (Skip); siblings, Robert, Ernest, Raymond, and Sharon.
All services for Richard are private and have been entrusted to Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 8382 Center Street, Garrettsville, OH, 44231.
