RICHARD POPE
September 26, 1950 — December 5, 2021
Richard Wade Pope Jr, age 71, of Brunswick, passed away Sunday, December 5, 2021. He was born in Cleveland to the late Richard and Lillian (Stasel) Pope.
He graduated from Brunswick High School in 1968 and went on to Cleveland State University receiving his BA in literature. Richard was a member of the Brunswick Eagles 3305, Brunswick V.F.W. #9520, and Am Vets #176. He enjoyed fishing, fellowship at the Eagles, and volunteering his help at the Eagles and V.F.W. He most of all loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Richard will be deeply missed by his wife of 51 years, Jeanmarie; son, Richard Wade (Shari) Pope III; grandchildren, Dylan Pope, Ali Pope, Corey Fabricius, and Kyle Fabricius; siblings, Bruce (Paula) Pope, Gary (Belia) Pope, Donald (Roberta) Pope, Linda Klasek, Michael (Laura) Pope, Cindy (Duane) Doroba, and Roberta (Steven) Hengeli; and he was loved by many nieces and nephews.
Richard was prededed in death by his son, Joseph Pope.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, January 8, 2022 from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the Brunswick Eagles 349 Pearl Rd, Brunswick, OH 44212 . The Pope family has entrusted Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services with the arrangements for Richard.
