Schlegel, 84 of Brunswick passed away on July 29, 2011 at his residence. He was born October 29, 1926 in Cleveland to Howard and Lillian (nee Lynden) Schlegel. Mr. Schlegel was a veteran, serving in the Navy during WW II and the Korean Conflict. He was employed as a Surgical Assistant; after retiring, he spent 13 years as a School Bus Driver for the Brunswick School System. Surviving are his loving wife Anne Marie (nee Duffy), children; John (Debbie) Schlegel, Richard Jr. (Jean) Schlegel, Suzanne Pleta, Richard (Patricia) Lawson, Michael (Barbara) Lawson, and his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Howard and Lyndon Schlegel and daughter Karen Schlegel. Friends may join the family for visitation on Sunday, July 31, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road (½ mile South of Route 303), Brunswick. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 1, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Ambrose Parish Church 929 Pearl Road Brunswick with visitation one hour prior to service at 9:00 AM at the church with Fr.
