Ricky Carl Winder, of Brunswick, Ohio passed away at the age of 61 on Wednesday June 29, 2022. He was born on December 11, 1960, to the late Donald H. and Mary Ann Winder.
Rick grew up in Willowville, Ohio, a suburb of Cincinnati where he played Little League baseball. He was proud of his hometown and traveled back to walk the halls of his alma mater, Glen Este High School before they closed their doors for good.
He worked with Cincinnati Milacron for 28 years. Staying true to his calling he was Sales Manager for Cincinnati Tyrolit, Cimcool Technologies, an Abrasive Application Engineer at Radiac Abrasives and most recently 3M. Much of his career was spent traveling and he loved taking time to explore and share the areas he visited.
Rick's pride and joy was his feline kids Harley, Emeril and Scooter. He enjoyed cooking and delighted in being called "Chef Wahoo." Rick was a loyal fan of the Cleveland Guardians, the Cleveland Browns, as well as the Cincinnati Reds and Pete Rose.
He leaves behind many people who loved him dearly including his siblings Beverly (Craig) Cooper, Donna (Jim) Kala, and Donald H. (Deborah Peroni) Winder II; nephews, Jeff (Jennifer) Cooper, Donald H (Heather) Winder III; nieces, Denise Fieler, Jennifer (David) Schoborg, and Stephanie Winder; and 11 great nieces and nephews. Known for never missing a birthday and sending silly jokes and videos he created to the kids in the family. He is also survived by a multitude of dear friends.
Ricky's passing leaves a huge hole in our family, but only after he filled our hearts with so much love.
Private services will be held for the family. The Winder family has entrusted Ricky's care to Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services.
