Robert “Kenny” Barath age 92, a long-time resident of Norton, passed away on December 26, 2014. He was born on September 5, 1922 Akron, Ohio to William and Helen (nee Csernyanscki) Barath.
Kenny served in the United States Army during World War II as Sgt. with the 483rd Army Air Force Base Unit. He was married to Martha (nee Rake).
Kenny was a member of The Chapel in Akron also Youth for Christ and the Goodyear Retirees. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, birdwatching, fishing and all things in nature outdoors.
He is survived by his son Brian (Kristen), grandchildren; Tyler, Drew, brothers; Donald (Jean), Burt, Albert, Edward also his sisters; Evelyn, Eleanor, Thelma, Irene, Ruth (Steven).
Visitation for family and friends will be held Monday, December 29, 2014 from 6 to 8 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road (corner of River Styx and Rt. 18), Medina, Ohio. Funeral Service on Tuesday, 11:30 AM, December 30, 2014 also at the funeral home. Burial to follow in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio.
