Robert “Bob” Frank Barda, age 84, of Brunswick, passed away peacefully Friday, February 17, 2023. He was born on October 28, 1938, to the late Raymond and Grace (nee Lampe) Barda in Cleveland.
He worked for over 45 years as a meat cutter and part-time with the city of Strongsville. After his retirement, he was able to spend more time doing the things he enjoyed, boating, fishing, camping, and gambling. Bob also loved his camcorder, always taking videos of his home on the river, capturing memories of family holidays and get-togethers because he cherished the time he spent with them so much.
Bob will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 64 years, Barbara; children, Barbara (Brian) Buskirk and Brenda Gigliotti; grandchildren, Brian Jr. (Desiree), Brandon (Caren), Crystal, Michelle (Adam), and Bradley (Sarah); great-grandchildren, Adam, Dylan, Evan, Logan, Jacob, Emma, Abby, Madelynn, and one on the way in July; brothers, Raymond (Marge) Barda and Richard (Joanne) Barda; and sister, Joanne (Ronald) Knight.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his son, Robert Jr.; great-grandson, Benjamin Daniels; and son-in-law, Doug Gigliotti.
Please join the family for visitation on Friday, February 24, 2023, from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Rd. (1/2 mile south of route 303), Brunswick. Service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow at 1:00 pm in Resurrection Cemetery, 6303 Center Rd., Valley City.
