Robert L. Centner, 80 of Brunswick Hills Township, passed away November 22, 2010. He was born November 20, 1930 in Erie, Pennsylvania to Harvey and Bertha (nee Bernett) Centner. Robert married Patricia (nee Boyd) in 1961 and shared 49 years together.
He retired from Brunswick City Schools in 1989. He did home building construction in Brunswick, Ohio. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and woodworking. He was a member of the Medina Odd Fellows.
He is survived by his loving wife Patricia; his children, David (Sharon) Centner of Sharon Township and Mark (Andrea) Centner of York Township; grandchildren, Jacquelyn Nemes of Wadsworth, Sarabeth (Joseph) Clarke of Medina, Christopher Nemes of Sharon Township, Matthew Centner of Medina, Brittany Brenstuhl of Sharon Township, Jennifer (Phillip) Taylor of Brookpark, Zachary Centner of Berea, Matthew Schneider of Ravenna, Danielle Schneider of Akron and Jonathan Fakess of York Township; great-grandchildren, Jacob David, Jillian, Lynnsey, Alexia, Kylie, Alayna and Sebastian; and his best four legged friend Molly.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings; Norma, Jim and Richard.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 26, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road (1/2 mile South of Rt. 303) Brunswick, Ohio. Funeral Service will be on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at the Funeral Home at 11:00 AM. Friends may join the family one hour prior to the Funeral Service on November 27, 2010 for visitation. Interment to follow in Eastlawn Memory Gardens, Brunswick, Ohio.
Family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105-9956.
