ROBERT R. MALECHA

Robert R. Malecha, age 83, of Medina, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2019. He was born on October 20, 1935, in Cleveland, OH, to Herbert and Lillian (nee Krakora) Malecha.
Robert worked for Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company (CEI) as a Surveyor/Engineer for many years. He was an artist and loved to paint. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was in his element when visiting Catawba Island.
He will be dearly missed by his children, Linda Calire, Scott (Concetta) Malecha, Jackie (William) Savel; grandchildren, Nichole, Mitch, Candice, Joe, Ryan, Corey, Holly; great-grandchildren, Riley, Anna, Ellie and Max.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Joan (nee Haight) and his brother Richard.
Friends may join the family for Robert’s visitation on Thursday, July 18, 2019, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road, Medina, OH 44256. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Robert on Friday, July 19, 2019, at 10:00AM at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 1800 Station Road, Valley City, OH (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in North Olmsted, OH.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Robert’s name to Hospice of the Western Reserve Medina County, 5075 Windfall Rd., Medina, OH 44256.
