ROBERT A. RIZER

Robert A. Rizer, age 75, of Medina, Ohio passed away peacefully at Samaritan Care Center of Medina on August 23, 2019. He was born on May 19, 1944, in Bedford, OH to the late Orwin and Irene (nee Larkman) Rizer.

Robert Served in the Army from 1963 to 1966 as a demolition expert during the Vietnam War. He worked for Park Ohio Industries (Tocco Division) for 46 years. He was a “Jack of All Trades” and loved to help anyone. Robert loved fishing, hunting, motorcycles, and enjoyed watching all sports, especially NASCAR. Robert also loved the beach in South Carolina.

Robert will be dearly missed by his wife of 52 years, Lynn (nee Pocta) and his beloved daughter, Sheila (Randy) Haury.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Neil and his in-laws, Frank and Wilma Pocta.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Monday, August 26, 2019, from 3:30PM to 7:00PM, with a Funeral Service at 6:30PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road, Medina, OH 44256. Cremation will follow in accordance with Robert’s wishes. A private interment will take place at a later date at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, OH.
