Robert Leonard Vanisenberg, age 76, of Wadsworth, OH, passed away Monday, May 20, 2019. He was born on August 14, 1942, in Lakewood, OH, to the late Fred and Doris (nee Wright) Vanisenberg.
Robert was a Navy Veteran and worked 40 years as an electrician. Robert enjoyed building model navy ships, reading novels, painting and working in his yard. His patriotism was never ending. His love for the Navy followed him throughout life.
He will be dearly missed by his wife Barbie (nee Keith); daughter, Victoria (William) Wethington; son, Robert (Brenda); stepdaughters, Betty Ramsey and Glacie (Matthew) Hatfield; step-son, Roy Ramsey; sister, Karen Kemp; 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Friends may join the family for Robert’s visitation on Thursday, May 30, 2019, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road, Medina, OH 44256. Robert’s Funeral Service will start at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, OH.
