RONALD LEE STAPLETON SR.

Ronald Lee Stapleton Sr., age 73, of Brunswick, passed away on Friday, March 5, 2021 at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, Cleveland, OH.
He was born on December 9, 1947 in Cleveland, OH to the late Albert and Sadie (nee Johnson) Stapleton.
A veteran of the United States Army, 101st Airborne Div. Serving a tour in Vietnam.
He retired from Ohio Crankshaft as a machine operator after 30 years. At the time of retirement Ron was also the Financial Secretary for the UAW local 91.
Ron was a member of the VFW 9520 and The Eagles Club 3505. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Sadie (nee Johnson) Stapleton; sisters, Phyllis Jean Johnson and Theresa Ann; brother, William Stapleton; and his grandson, Haydn Douglas Stapleton.
He is survived by his siblings, Nellie (nee Stapleton) Wente, Albert Stapleton Jr., Carolyn (nee Stapleton) Ehlert, John Stapleton, Morris (Janet) Stapleton, Larry (Gale) Stapleton; his children, Charles (Rhonda) Stapleton, Laura (nee Stapleton) Jencik, Ron (Michelle) Stapleton Jr., Ryan (Paige) Stapleton, Roxanne (Mike) Stapleton-Westfall, Lisa Arnold, mother of Erin (Jorge) Thompkins-Reyes, Shannon (Chris) Logue; 15 Grandchildren, 3 Great-Grandchildren and an abundance of nieces and nephews.
Friends may join the family for visitation for Ron on Thursday, March 11, 2021 from 5:30 PM until time of services at 8:30 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Rd., (1/2 mile south of Route 303), Brunswick, Ohio. Facial coverings are required. Please observe recommended social distancing guidelines. His burial will be held on Friday, March 12, 2021 at Eastlawn Memory Gardens, everyone are asked to meet at the funeral home at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
