RONNIE J. SPETA

Ronnie Joseph Speta, 84, of Clarksville, TN, went home to his Lord & Savior on Monday, October 9, 2023. He was born May 28, 1939, in Cleveland, OH, to the late Joe Speta and the late Helen (Ogilvy) Linden.

He was proud to have retired from the U.S. Navy as an ABCS Aviation Boatswains Mate Senior Chief Petty Officer, after serving his country from 1956 – 1983. Ronnie cherished serving, especially when he was stationed with the USS Midway and Misawa Air Force Base in Misawa, Japan, which were among his favorite destinations during service. A message from Ronnie to all his friends and family: “The key is in the mailbox, come on in!”

Ronnie will be deeply missed by his sons, Joseph Speta and John Speta; grandchildren, Kelli Speta and Jakob Speta, and cousin, John Meade.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Please join the family for a visitation on Saturday, October 14, 2023, 12:00 P.M. – 1:00 P.M., at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231. A funeral service will begin at the funeral home at 1:00 P.M., with Rev. David Gray officiating. Ronnie will then be taken to Park Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest with military honors.
