Rosalie H. DeWitt, 87, of Salem, formerly of Garrettsville, went home to her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 17, 2023. She was born March 4, 1936, in Gilmer County, WV, to the late Ray and Hailey (Miller) Brady.
She was an excellent hair dresser and former owner of The Golden Mirror Salon in Garrettsville and J + R Auto Sales in Windham. Rosalie was extremely creative and talented in the arts. She was known for her quilt-making and landscape oil painting.
Rosalie will be deeply missed by her daughters, Pamela (Terry) Bowlin and Gloria (Mark) McCullough; grandchildren, Bradley Bowlin, Michael (Mallory) Bowlin, Kayla (Adam) Kruger, and Matthew McCullough; siblings, Charles (Jenny) Brady, Joyce (Lester) Marks, Larry (Lynne) Brady, Jerry Brady, Bev Ring, and Jack (Priscilla) Brady, as well as many nephews, nieces, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd DeWitt; son, David Marks; grandsons, Terry Bowlin Jr. and Alex Bowlin; brother, Richard Brady; sisters, Norma (Dalton, Jr.) Reip and Polly Dabe; sister-in-law, Peggy Brady, and brother-in-law, Gary Ring.
Please join the family for a visitation Friday, April 21, 2023, 10:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M., at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231. A funeral service will begin at the funeral home at 12:00 P.M., with Pastor Eric Matthews officiating. Rosalie will then be laid to rest in Harrington Cemetery, in Nelson Twp., beside her beloved, Lloyd.
