Rosalie Ann (nee Novak) Hill, 88, was reunited with her loving husband, Gerald, in Heaven on Saturday, November 9, 2019. She was born April 18, 1931, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late George and Anna (nee Ptak) Novak.
Rosalie retired from the Brunswick City School system, working as a kitchen aide for over 20 years. She loved to knit, was an active member of Sweet Adelines, and cherished the endeavors and accomplishments of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a diehard Ohio State football fan, enjoyed seeing marching band and drum corps groups and endured many years of rooting for the Indians and Browns.
Rosalie is survived by her loving children, Gregory (Debbie), Geffrey (Debby), Gerald (Kay), Christine Bronson (Jack deceased), Garrick (Rochelle); grandchildren, Adrian Boysel (Brian), Maribeth Stahl (Chris), Christopher (Kelly), Lindsay, Danielle Wehn (Ryan), Eric (Sooji), Hannah and Jacob Bronson, Madelein and Cameron Hill; great-grandchildren, Macyn and Lilly Boysel, Parker and Anderson Stahl, Rose and Zeke Wehn, and Ella Hill; and sister Mary Ann (Ken) Schrembeck.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Gerald I. Hill, in 2011; sister, Irene; and brothers, James, George and Thomas.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, November 14, 2019, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road, Brunswick (1/2 mile south of Route 303). A Funeral Mass for Rosalie will be held at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 1800 Station Road, Valley City, at 11 AM on Friday, November 15, 2019. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memory Gardens, 2869 Grafton Road, Brunswick.
