ROSE L. HOARD
March 5, 1939 — December 10, 2012
Rose L. Hoard, 73 of Freedom Twp., passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna. She was born March 5, 1939 in Sutton, WV to Bruce and Cora Irene (Scott) Cutlip.
She was Assistant to the Director of Hiram College Library, and a member of Nelson United Methodist Church for over 30 years. She was active with the Hiram Knitting group as well as the Nelson United Methodist Church Knitting Club known as Crafty Ladies. Rose enjoyed college football and was an avid West Virginia Mountaineers fan. She had a love for being outdoors and watching her hummingbirds.
Rose is survived by her husband, Dale whom she married June 25, 1966; son, Frank (Diane) of Brunswick; daughter, Tina (Dwayne) Cunningham of Windham; sister, Ethel (Jake) Loyd of Sutton,WV; grandchild, Brianna Leigh Cunningham, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Rose’s life will be held at the Nelson United Methodist Church on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at 2 PM. The family will receive family and friends at 1 PM at the church. Contributions may be made to the Nelson United Methodist Church, PO Box 210, 9353 St. Rte. 305, Garrettsville, OH 44231. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231.
