Rudolph J. Korzekwa, 75 of Cleveland, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 2, 2013. He was born May 25, 1937 in Cleveland, Ohio to Chester and Matilda (Brenek) Korzekwa. Rudolph served in the U.S. Army and was a laborer at Riley Tar. He loved to sing and enjoyed all types of music. He also enjoyed sports, especially baseball. Rudolph is survived by his sons, Joseph (Debbie) Marcella, Ronnie Marcella, and Robert Korzekwa of Cleveland and John Korzekwa of Garrettsville; daughters, Patricia Abraham, Sandy (George) Tuma, Debbie (Eddie) Kawecki, and Linda Schmitt of Cleveland; Peggy (Pete) Kepich and Ann Marie (Gerry) Scopilliti of Hiram, and Terri (Rusty) Schmitz of Apex, NC; brother, David Korzekwa of Cleveland; sister, Barbara Korzekwa of Brecksville, Debbie (Eddie) Kiska and Diane (Doug) Disterhoff of Cleveland; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Fern Janet (Aspery) Korzekwa; brother, Chester and sisters, Anita, Dora and Mary. Visitation will be from 9-10 AM on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 10692 Freedom St., Garrettsville, OH 44231 where Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 AM on Saturday. Inurnment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Cleveland. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Rudolph’s name to the Windham American Legion Post #674 Honor Guard, 9960 E. Center St., Windham, Ohio 44288.
