RUTH ILENE BURNS

Ruth Ilene Burns, 80, of Nelson passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2015 following complications from an accident at her home. She was born on September 28, 1935 in Preston County, West Virginia to Amandus and Luona (Nicholson) Blosser.

She was proud to be a member of the Windham Church of Christ and the Fifty Plus Club. Ruth enjoyed painting beautiful landscapes, quilting, flower gardening, visiting flea markets and was an avid bird watcher. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her beloved family and friends.

Ruth will be missed by her loving children, Brenda (Thomas) Liddle of Windham and Robert Burns Jr. of Nelson; sister, Evelyn White of Morgantown; grandchildren, Melody, Miranda and Erica; great grandchildren Zachary, Jarrod, Blaine, Audrey, Briar, Brody, Colton, Dylan, Dominic and Bryce; and her little dog Chico.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Earl Burns; son Duane Burns; grandson Kyle; brothers, Edward, Arlin, Richard, Robert, Albert, James, Jerry, Ronald, Donald and sister Viola Cartwright.

Visitation for friends and family will be Wednesday, October 14, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM and Thursday, October 15, 2015 from 12:00 - 1:00 PM at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH. Funeral Service will be Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home with Preacher Jeffrey Wyeth officiating. Burial will follow at Windham Township Cemetery.
