Ruth E. Jett

Obituary: Ruth E. Jett, 75 of Newton Falls formerly of Windham, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2013. She was born August 25, 1937 in Clarksburg, WVA to John and Mary (Berry) Laughery. Ruth was a home health aide and enjoyed being a caregiver, baking and canning, music, and spending time with her beloved grandchildren, family and friends. Ruth is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Chris Kinsey) Doherty of Newton Falls; brother, James (Irene) Laughery of Sebring; sisters, Rachael Childers of WVA, Margaret (Paul) King of Alliance and Janet Davis of Akron; grandchildren, Johnette Ashcraft, Nicole Hickman, Jonathan Hickman, Mariah McGeehen; great-grandchildren, Rebekah and William Walters; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joe Jett; son, John Ashcraft; brother John Laughery; and sisters, Alice Grossa and Becky Thorpe. Calling hours are 10-12 on Friday, January 4, 2013 at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., PO Box 252, Garrettsville, OH 44231 where funeral services will be held at noon with Carol Evans officiating.
