Sam E. Helton, Sr., 87 of Brunswick, passed away September 27, 2010. He was born September 26, 1923 in Seymour, Tennessee to Tom G. and Johnnie (nee Russell) Helton.
Mr. Helton worked as an Assembly Set-Up person. He was a United States Army World War II veteran and a member of the Masons, past member of The Lake Erie Lodge #0781, Past Master of The Grand Lodge of F&AM of Ohio and a member of Scottish Rights of the 32nd Degree of The Valley of Cleveland.
Mr. Helton is survived by his sons Sam (Joann) Helton, Jr. of Strongsville and Gary (Cathy) Helton of Strongsville; his daughter Lori (Robert) Schille of Cincinnati; siblings Fred (Joyce) Helton of Georgia, Betty Monger of Tennessee, Mary Henderlight of Illinois and Grace (Charles) Cutshaw of Tennessee; granddaughter Amanda Helton of Strongsville; niece Debra Foraker of Ohio and nephew John Dyba, Jr. of Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Avis (nee Harp) Helton, parents and grandson Ryan Helton.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Thursday, September 30, 2010 from 10 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road (1/2 mile South of Route 303), Brunswick. Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 P.M. at The Funeral Home. Interment at Eastlawn Memory Gardens, Brunswick, Ohio.
