Sandra K. "Sandy" Schneeberger-Barbee, 81, of Ravenna, passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022. She was born May 7, 1940 in Youngstown, to the late Clifford and Edith (Knight) West.
She was a true dairy farmer's wife who enjoyed taking care of her family. Sandy belonged to the First Church of the Nazarene in Ravenna, and used to teach Sunday School to the children. She was involved in volunteering with the Girl Scouts Association while her daughters were active members. Sandy liked jigsaw puzzles, and was a fervent scrapbooker. Her favorite things in life were spending time with friends in Florida, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and watching her Hallmark movies. She had a heart of gold, generous, filled with love for her children and their families and supported many worthy organizations. Most importantly, she was a believer and follower of Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior.
Sandy will be deeply missed by her loving children, Linda (Ray) Carter, Connie Powell, and Kathryn (Ted) Ball; grandchildren, Daniel (Jennifer) Carter, Stephen (Sandy) Carter, Felicia (Jon) Soudry, Stephanie Powell, Bobby (Olivia) Powell, Kaitlyn Ball, and Ryan Ball; great-grandchildren, Isabelle, Vada, Hazel, Jackson, Austin, Zachary, David, Sophia, Evelyn, Adler, and one on the way, and siblings, Joyce Drouhard, Geraldine Mitchell, and Clifford West.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Kurt H. Schneeberger and Clyde Barbee; son-in-law, Robert Powell, and brothers-in-law, John Mitchell and Charles Drouhard.
Please join the family for a visitation to honor Sandy on Saturday, January 8, 2022, from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services 8382 Center St. Garrettsville, OH 44231. A funeral Service will begin at the funeral home at 12:00 P.M., with Rev. Tracy Ogden Johnson officiating. A graveside service will take place at Drakesburg Cemetery immediately after.
