Santo Scopilliti, 73, of the Hiram/Streetsboro area, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2015 after a two-year battle with cancer. He was born to Frank & Angela (Salvo) Scopilliti.
Santo was a proud member of Plumbers Local 55 for 54 years and enjoyed mentoring other plumbers, riding his Harley with his wife behind him, refurbishing jukeboxes, remodeling bathrooms and helping others.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mona (Stewart) of 38 years; sisters Annette (Larry) Lopez, Marie Milano, Bonnie (Pete) LaPlaca, and Angela (John) Cartellone; step-brothers Tommy (Lori), Sammy (Roberta), and sister in law Debbie Catania; children Tina (Rick) Aldridge, Angela (Bill) Bickelmeyer, Frank, Gerry (Ann Marie), Chris, Santo (Dawn), and Melissa (Janice) Scopilliti; 19 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and many loving family members and friends.
Santo was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ross.
Family will receive friends at Carlson Funeral Home, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231 on Tuesday, January 13 from 2 pm to 8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint Ambrose Catholic Church in Garrettsville on Wednesday, January 14 at 11 am. PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Burial to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery, Twinsburg.
