Sara Hetrick Croft (Sally) passed away on January 23rd of 2021 in Middleburg Heights, Ohio due to Covid-19 at the age of 75.
She will be remembered by her daughter Kimberly (John) Gronquist, sons Charles (Kalong) Croft, and Donald Croft, grandchildren: Erika, Dameon, Devon and Clara, sister Clara (Russell) Lanning, and brothers Robert (Janice) Hetrick, David Hetrick, and James (Michelle) Hetrick, as well as a multitude of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Mary Sanford Hetrick, sisters Marie (Ralph) Smail, Nancy (Edward) Vermilyea, and brothers William (Ollie) Hetrick, Gerald (Kathy) Hetrick. Growing up with 5 brothers and 3 sisters, Sally, being the smallest of the clan gave her the confidence to take on the world.
Sara did not have an easy life, but it was very diverse. She raised 3 children on her own while pursuing several careers (from draftsman to truck driver to casinos in Vegas). She had many hobbies and talents such as art, poetry, and needlecrafts that lifted her up when she was down. She was fearless and feisty until the end, even though dementia started taking her away these past years. Due to Covid-19, there will not be a funeral service. A memorial book will be available upon request.
Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road, Brunswick, were entrusted with the arrangements for Sara.
