Sally Swanson, of Wadsworth, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2022. She was born on January 12, 1944 to Samuel and Dorothy (nee Allaman) Jaeger. Sally had a lifelong passion for horses, horsemanship and horseback riding. She learned to ride at Adele Parker's farm in North Olmsted where Adele would have her students reenact Buffalo Bill Wild West shows. Her horseback riding career spanned over 65 years. She found success in the local hunter jumper show rings before she moved on to local hunter paces and fox hunting which she thoroughly enjoyed in her later years. In addition to riding, she enjoyed giving riding lessons to local 4-H students and encouraging these young equestrians. Sally was happiest when "down at the barn".
Sarah will be dearly missed by her son, Nels Swanson, her daughter, Katie Boyce, her son-n-law, Chip Boyce, her grandson, Parker Boyce, her granddaughter, Katrina Boyce and her sister, Gretchen Jaeger .
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward N. Swanson .
Cremation was requested. Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road, Medina, Ohio 44256 were entrusted with her wishes
