SHIRLEY CIAMMAICHELLA

Shirley Jane Ciammaichella (nee Cady), age 86, passed away on June 4, 2021. She was born on March 19, 1935, in Hinckley, Ohio to the late Curtis and Louise (nee Moutoux) Cady.

She will be missed by her children Dick (Char) Ciammaichella, Leslie Ciammaichella, Lori (Danny) McVay, Mike (Donna) Ciammaichella; her grandchildren, Alan (Ari), Doug (Kim), Joe (Deanna) , Kelly, Dylan, Andy (Vivian), and Anthony (Taylor); her great grandchildren, Lincoln and Lucia; and her sister, Lynne (Ray) Meyers, as well as special friends JoAnne Scheid and Bill and Joan Smith.

Shirley was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald Ciammaichella.

She grew up on the Cady farm in Hinckley and attended Hinckley schools where in first grade she met her future husband Ron. They graduated with the first graduating Class of Highland High School in 1953. In October 1954, Ron and Shirley were married and lived in Hinckley until they retired to Wadsworth, Ohio, and Venice, Florida.

Shirley was a wonderful homemaker, great cook, loving mother and grandmother, and an excellent seamstress and gardener. She enjoyed attending her children's and grandchildren's various events. Shirley was full of gentle grace and had a wonderful sense of humor.

Family will receive friends for Shirley on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Carlson Funeral Homes, 3477 Medina Rd., Medina, Ohio. Visitation will also be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at the funeral home. Graveside services will follow at 11:30 am at Maple Hill Cemetery, 1870 Center Rd., Hinckley, Ohio.
