SHIRLEY ANNE HUMMEL

Shirley Anne Hummel, 82, of Medina, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023. She was born July 13, 1941, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Herbert and Grace Anna Sells.

She had a thirst for knowledge and enjoyed reading. Shirley also enjoyed doing crafts, sewing, knitting, crocheting, and was a seamstress.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gary “Greg” Hummel, and son, Greg Hummel, Jr.

Shirley is survived by her sons, Sean (Karen) Hummel of Seville, Ohio, and Keith (Christina) Hummel, of Macedonia, Ohio; grandchildren, Meghan, Erin, Kayleigh, and Aidan; sisters, Evelyn, Sonia, Vivian, and brother, Carl.

The family will receive friends for a visitation on Friday, October 27, 2023, 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., at Carlson Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Rd. Medina, Ohio 44256, (Corner of Route 18 & River Styx). A funeral service will begin at the funeral home at 5:00 p.m., with Fr. Tony Sejba officiating. Shirley will be privately laid to rest at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
