SHIRLEY MARIE KITELINGER

November 10, 1934 — January 10, 2025

Streetsboro

Shirley Marie Kitelinger, 90, of Streetsboro, OH (formerly of Windham, OH), departed to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, January 10, 2025. Born on November 10, 1934, in Windham, OH, she was the beloved daughter of the late William and Elsie (Decker) Goss.

Raised in Windham, she attended Windham High School until 1950. Shirley and Bill then wed on December 9, 1950. The couple lived on family property gifted to them by her mother as a wedding present, where the couple worked together to build their home. In 1952, their family grew with the arrival of their daughter, Diana. Shirley played a vital role as the head cook at Windham Exempted School District’s elementary school. She cherished her interactions with the children and the stories they shared. Shirley last attended Newton Falls Church of the Nazarene. Her love of Jesus showed through her love of people. Through the years, Shirley taught Sunday school, after-school Bible Club, and was always part of activities in church life. Bill and Shirley embraced life, enjoying camping with friends and family as members of the Wally Byam Airstream Travel Club, venturing on long-distance trips, and creating their own camping area in their woods. Their adventures continued with the Christian Motorcycle Association, where they rode countless miles together. She also profoundly loved being a grandmother to her two grandsons.

Shirley's love and joy touched many lives and she leaves behind her devoted husband of 74 years, William “Bill” Kitelinger; daughter, Diana (George) Skinner; grandsons, Daniel (Raven) Skinner and Timothy (Kristina) Skinner; great-grandchildren, Wyatt (9), Hunter (8), and Emelia (6); sister-in-law, Hazel (Calvin) Goss, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends will all cherish her memory.

She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Robert (Jean) Goss, Calvin Goss; sister, Ruth (Charles) Dollison, and beloved niece, Sharon (Dollison) Sprague.
