SHIRLEY M. LAUSCH

Shirley M. Lausch, age 88, of Brunswick, passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at her home.

Shirley was born on July 9, 1930 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late William and Helen (nee Schmitt) Lewis. Shirley was a resident of Brunswick for the past 63 years.

She was employed as a secretary for the Director of Safety Service for the city of Brunswick for many years. She also served as the secretary of the Brunswick Planning Commission. Shirley was a member of the Brunswick United Methodist Church, where she was very active with church activities, including singing in the choir and participating in the United Methodist Women. She was also a member of the Brunswick Historical Society, the local chapter of Business and Professional Women, and took part in monthly OPERS luncheons. She played in a summer golf league and enjoyed learning crafts, including stained glass, basket making and counted cross stitch.

Shirley is survived by her loving children, Susan Lausch, Sandra (Tom) Nenadal and Sharon (Mark) Holley; beloved grandchildren, Kathy Nenadal and William (Julia) Nenadal.

She was preceded in death by her dear husband of 63 years, Alfred F. Lausch in 2013; and sister, Elaine Cawrse.


The family will receive friends for Shirley on Sunday, February 3, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road, (1/2 mile south of Route 303) Brunswick. Viewing will also be held on Monday, Feb. 4, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Brunswick United Methodist Church, 1395 Pearl Road, Brunswick, Pastor Thomas Shaw will officiate. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery, Brunswick.
